Sold. Absolutely, 100% sold. The second trailer for Wong Ching-Po's upcoming Hong Kong action picture Let's Go! has just arrived and it does so many things so very, very right that it's hard to imagine it not ending up as the most purely entertaining picture to come out of Hong Kong in the next year.
You want colorful heroes and villains? It's got that. You want a sense of humor? It's got that, too. You want high octane action? You bet. Let's Go! feels like the greatest film never made during Hong Kong's 1990's Cat III craze, only without the sleaze and with much better production values. The gonzo story of a young anime obsessed man taking on a hero persona of his own plays with just the right degree of sincerity to make it all stick and the cast appears to absolutely nail the required attitude to make it all work.
This latest trailer is by far the most story oriented piece we've seen so far and it includes English subtitles, so take a look below.
