Remember this one? It's been 10 months since the first trailer for Géla Babluani's English language remake of his own 2005 low-budget, black-and-white noir film 13 Tzameti. The film is finally getting a U.S. theatrical release next month and to prepare you a new official trailer has been released, courtesy of Yahoo.
Simply titled 13 this time around (the original word "Tzameti" is Georgian for 13), the remake has a cast featuring a vast array of famous faces including Sam Riley (Control), Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Ray Winstone, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Michael Shannon, Ray Liotta, Alexander Skarsgård and Emmanuelle Chriqui (Entourage).
Here's the plot if you're unfamiliar:
A naive young man named Vince (Riley) assumes another man's identity and finds himself embroiled in an underground world of power and chance, where men gamble behind closed doors with others' lives.
I'm not a huge fan of the original film but as a concept it's entirely unsurprising Hollywood grabbed a hold of it for a remake. Take a look at the new trailer below which will no doubt sell the film to the movie going public a lot better than the last trailer. 13 goes on limited release from October 28th.
