Icelandic post-rock act Sigur Ros are headed to the Venice Film Festival, or at least their new film Inni - created with the help of director Vincent Morriset - will be. What exactly Inni is is still up in the air with the festival referring to it only as a 'film event' and Morriset not exactly your typical documentarian. The smart money says it's some sort of uber-arty concert film or visual album but chances are nobody will really know until it plays out on the big screen.
You can, however, get a sizable taste of the film thanks to the lengthy trailer which has turned up. The images are stark and haunting with an obvious influence from the German Expressionist movement and they match the music beautifully. Yes, please.
