Hollywood Remaking Takashi Miike's NINJA KIDS!!!?

According to reports, a major Hollywood production company has expressed interest in remaking Takashi Miike's NINJA KIDS!!!, and negotiations are currently underway. The live-action film is based on a long-running manga and anime series about the adventures of a group of young apprentices at a ninja academy.

While prolific director Miike's other recent films (13 ASSASSINS and HARAKIRI: DEATH OF A SAMURAI) have won him much critical acclaim, his latest film NINJA KIDS!!! has certainly been a popular choice at film festivals around the world, such as the Cannes Film Festival, New York Asian Film Festival and the upcoming Japanese Film Festival in Australia.
