Miramax catalog continues to trickle out on Blu- PULP FICTION and JACKIE BROWN in October?

As some of you may know, it was announced back in February that Lionsgate had acquired the Miramax back catalog for distribution on Blu-ray. The Scream Trilogy was one of their inaugural releases under that deal and a tentative date of June was given for the long awaited (in the U.S.) Pulp Fiction. Well, June came and went, and no such luck.

But they are continuing to trickle out some of your old "favorites." Streeting on July 19th, a quaternary of confections including three playful romances and one... holocaust movie. Bridget Jones's Diary, Chocolat, Amelie and The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.

But the real news here (that isn't really news) is that Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown might finally be coming to Blu. The Tarantino Archives recently pinpointed the date as October 4th, although the sources they cited quickly disappeared from the web. I emailed Lionsgate publicity for confirmation and all I got was a "No firm word."

So maybe if you all go out and buy Bridget Jones next Tuesday, that word will firm up and we'll finally see Pulp Fiction and other Miramax favs on Blu. How about it, people?
