Dhada is listed as an action/romance, but the cast list leads me to believe that we'll have plenty of inappropriate comedy thrown in with the drama. The film will also feature the unholy trinity of Telugu comedy, Brahmanandam, Venu Madhav, and Ali. One of these actors in your films is a guarantee of at least a half dozen poorly timed, childish gags, but all three and the film will either fall to pieces or the cinema will explode in laughter, who knows? Also on the cast list is pan-Indian starlet, Kajal Agarwal, who recently made her Bollywood debut in Ajay Devgn's Singham (more on that one soon), and who has made quite a name for herself in the south Indian film industries, along with Sriram (Srikanth), who is set to star in Enthiran (Robot) director Shankar's next film, Nanban.
The cast looks promising, and it would appear that the producers are counting on this one being a hit. From the trailer, I don't see it. There are a few flashes of some fun action set pieces, but overall it leaves me less than excited. Let's hope I'm wrong. The world can never have enough insane Indian action/romances!
