Reports of James McAvoy steeping in to the lead of Danny Boyle's upcoming Trance are mostly correct.
Twitch has learned that while McAvoy is indeed in talks to talk the lead on Boyle's heist thriller Trance, and while we are also told that Michael Fassbender has indeed had to step away from the project, reports that McAvoy is replacing Fassbender are not correct. How so? Because Fassbender was never the lead in the first place.
Fassbender was in talks to join the film in a primary support role as a character named Aiden while McAvoy is being signed on to play the true lead, a character named Simon.
So, yes, one is in and one may be out but it's not a one replacing the other scenario.
