One of the (many) fantastic things about Thomas Cappelen Malling's Norwegian Ninja is the film's remarkable attention to period style and detail. This ranged from using miniature effects to the color palette of the film, use of old film stock, etc etc. But it goes even farther than that. Unseen until now is a behind the scenes reel from the creation of the film shot entirely on Super 8. Because, you know, if you're shooting parts of the main film on 16mm you've got to do the making of on 8. But with the arrival of JJ Abram's Super 8 this week it seemed thematically appropriate to trot this out now. Take a look at the reel below and check out the official blog for more on how it was created.
