One of the buzz titles of the Cannes Film Festival - it took two days of trying for me to finally get in and see it - is Michel Hazanavicius' The Artist. Originally selected to play in a non-competitive sidebar the film was later bumped up to full competition status and has proven to be a welcome lighter option in the midst of a sea of depressing titles.
Jean Dujardin stars as Georges Valentin, a silent film star caught in the changing times, with the entire film presented in a style amazingly true to the films of the era. But don't take my word for it, check the trailer below.
