All Of These Men Will Be Punched In The Face In The Trailer For KL GANGSTER

Syamsul Yusof is becoming Malaysia's king of popcorn movies. Yusof burst on to the scene in 2008 with racing picture Evolusi: KL Drift, a film that openly pandered to fans of The Fast And The Furious but did it with enough style that it became a huge hit. A less successful unrelated action film followed before he returned to do Evolusi: KL Drift 2 which was again a huge success. And while he's tucked a horror film between KL2 and the upcoming KL Gangster it's very clear that action is where Yusof's heart lies.

KL Gangster tells the tale of two brothers who get involved in the world of gangsterism. The older brother Malek (Aaron Aziz) was imprisoned for five years after being betrayed by his own gang which was started by Shark the step brother of the most influential gangster in Kuala Lumpur, King . Malek who leads a normal life after being released, is pulled back into the world he left behind after all those years. Especially since his younger brother Jai is influenced by the gangsters and decides to work for Shark bringing everything down in chaos.
The premise is fairly standard, the directing approach simple: If it moves, punch it. Or kick it. Or possibly hit it with a baseball bat. Yusof knows how to stage this stuff and he's got a cast of actors who are game to do just about anything and the result - at least in trailer form - is pretty damn fun. Check it below.
