You simply have to love an action epic that features two young children chasing each other on the backs of water buffalo. You simply have to. And Vietnamese effort Khat Vong Thang Long features exactly that with some gorgeous locations, large scale battles and impressive production design thrown in.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to find any information in English on this one - any help on that front would be much appreciated - but this is clearly Vietnam's attempt to move into the large scale martial arts epic world and while there are moments where the inexperience shows a little - there's one too-obvious CGI shot in particular - the results are looking remarkably good.
