Trailer Arrives For Lopez-Gallego's APOLLO 18

There be monsters on the moon. That's the basic message of the trailer for Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego's Apollo 18.

I've got very mixed feelings about this project, for what should be fairly obvious reasons. On the one side I am a big fan and supporter of Lopez-Gallego, I believe he is well suited to this material and I want to see him succeed. But on the other hand this is a project rushed into production with a release date announced before there was an approved script or director attached, with the schedule set not based on what would make for the best possible environment to make a film in but what would allow them to beat Paranormal Activity director Oren Peli's similarly themed and style Area 51 to the punch. They've since pushed the release date back a month but at the time Lopez-Gallego was hired he had only four months from the time he agreed to make the film until the planned release date. Four months from starting on the job until release. Which is kind of madness.

Did he succeed? Well, the first trailer arrived on Apple over the weekend so you can now begin to judge for yourself. Not mind blowing but pretty solid, I think.
