In case you need reminding as to why this is worth your money, I implore you to read my review below and check out the trailer again. This film represents the confluence of many of the finest talents in India pooling their efforts into three hours of pure gonzo entertainment. Rajnikanth, the most popular star in Indian film and a man who knows no age, plays a man probably half his age and does it pretty convincingly. He is reason enough for me to pick this one up ASAP!
As far as a high definition release goes, there is no movement on that at the moment. The production company has been ridiculously stubborn with the licensing rights for Blu-ray, and they haven't managed to get it licensed in the original Tamil because they are asking an inordinate amount. However, if you are desperate to wait, there will probably be a Telugu dubbed Blu-ray by the end of February. I'm getting the Tamil DVD for now, because I want Superstar Rajni's voice. I can wait for the Tamil Blu-ray.
