Ah, the psychic explosion. Cronenberg's Scanners - mysteriously absent from the ScreenAnarchy Top Kills thus far, someone please rectify that - may be the most famous example but it's not the only one! Not by a long shot! And here's a quality example from Brian De Palma's 1978 effort The Fury, with an explosion so explosive that De Palma couldn't resist showing it to us over and over again from every possible angle!
