It would appear that what Twilight is to adolescent teen girls Dennis Gansel's We Are The Night would like to be for fifteen year olds. I'm not saying this as a criticism, just an observation that with his move into the vampire world the director of acclaimed classroom drama The Wave appears to be aiming for a very specific audience. And it also looks like he's going to hit it, with a healthy amount of spill over into other groups as well.
