Women of Horror Showcased at the Viscera Film Festival

New film festivals pop up all the time. One of the more interesting ones to surface of late is Viscera Film Festival, which celebrates the work of female horror directors and producers. This year's premiere edition of the fest takes place on July 17, 2010 at the Downtown Independent Theater in Los Angeles. 

The format is quite atypical. As suggested by the single day schedule, the program consists exclusively of short films. Cerina Vincent, Brea Grant, and Amber Benson will be on hand to give out awards for Best Direction, Best Cinematography, and Audience Favorite. A large swath of other guests from the horror community are also set to attend.
