Steven Moffat, You Are A Wonderful, Glorious Man.

Those in the UK who have already seen the finale of the current series of Dr Who - the first with Steven Moffat at the helm - will already know what I'm on about while those in the US and Canada will soon have the pleasure of finding out. No, I'm not going to spoil it but I have to say this:

Having just watched the finale this has been by far the best complete series of the revived Dr Who. You can argue that there are high points in other series that may spike a bit higher than moments here but from start to finish this has been consistently sterling stuff with only one episode not really clicking for me, and that episode coming from someone who is normally a favorite. And the ending ... sweeping, grand scale stuff that managed to keep the wonderfully intimate character elements intact while also functioning perfectly as a cliffhanger moving into next season. There are so many more questions to answer, so many more character to elements to explore and yet while I can't wait to dive into those I also feel completely satisfied. Absolutely stellar television, this.

So, to you Mr Moffat, I say thank you. You've done a magnificent job.
