The bunnies are coming. And they're heavily armed.
As promised, the first episode of Japan's ultra-violent CG-animated adaptation of Motofumi Kobayashi's Cat Shit One arrived online Saturday. It's free and loaded down with guns-blazing bunny inflicted violence.
It is also, unfortunately, geo-blocked. Which means it's meant to be unavailable to anyone outside of Japan.
Now, I'm not going to post it up in ScreenAnarchy's native video player because doing so would be like waving a flag around while dancing naked and shouting "Sue me!". I will, however, be more than happy to point out what shitty technology geo-blocking really is since it relies on IP address and IPs are about as difficult to change as a hat. Ready? These instructions based on Firefox, IE and other browsers are basically the same, though.
1. Open a fresh tab and do a google search for "Free IP Proxy Japan". This should give you a list of available IPs that you can use to mask your location. Though it's not the fastest one going, I find that 124.146.184.93 (Port 80) is a good, reliable one.
2. Hit Tools, then Options, then Network, then Settings.
3. Select Manual Proxy Configuration, then enter your proxy IP and port numbers in the appropriate spaces.
And presto! As far as your computer is concerned, you're in Japan! Now refresh this page and watch the bunny carnage to your heart's content.
