Yes, you can only really take advantage if you're fortunate enough to be in Austin on Friday, May 28th, but with Marko Zaror and Isaac Florentine both in town to present a rare theatrical screening of Undisputed III - presented in a double bill with Zaror's most recent Chilean star vehicle, Mandrill - well, news this good cannot be ignored. I'm going to quote wholesale from the Alamo website:
UNDISPUTED III was one of the big hits to come out of Action Fest 2010. As soon as the screening was over we were getting bombed with tweets about how we needed to see this movie. When we saw it we knew we needed to share the experience. Since our favorite action star Marko Zaror was eager to come out and support UNDISPUTED III, we decided to combine the punch of UNDISPUTED III with the sheer heart attack of Fantastic Fest 2009 Fantastic Feature Award Winner MANDRILL and give Austin a thrill to recover from for a while. We'll have special guests Marko Zaror and UNDISPUTED III director Isaac Florentine at the screenings to give you a double dose of that Fantastic Fest and Action Fest excitement!
The Fantastic Fest/Action Fest Double Feature continues at Midnight with MANDRILL!!!
GETTING IN TO THIS EVENT:
If you'd like to attend this bone-snapotronic FREE event, the first step is to be or become a 2010 Fantastic Fest Badge Holder.
The second step is even easier. Once you are a 2010 Fantastic Fest Badge Holder, send an email to rsvp@fantasticfest.com with UNDISPUTED ME in the subject line (written just like that) and be sure to include your name (make sure "your name" is also the name used at time of badge purchase). Enough verified badge-holding emails sent will be selected at random to fill the theater and then posted in list form on the Fantastic Fest Blog by Wednesday, May 26, at 5:00pm. Each name on that list can pick up two tickets to the show no later than 9:15p on the night of the event.
For anyone else who doesn't make the list or have a badge, here's the good news. Despite how unmissable this event is, it's inevitable that 20-30% of the names on the list won't show up. Which is why we'll have a stand-by line for the die-hards who never surrender. Because once 9:15p comes and goes, we'll start handing out all remaining tickets. So, if you want to see this show (and you absolutely should), the stand-by line is a bet worth the risk.
