Word is out on the next film from Ben Wheatley, the writer director of Down Terrace. Film4 and Warp X will be backing Wheatley's The Kill List, which they expect to shoot this summer. Deadline describes it as "a horror film about a group of demobbed soldiers turned contract killers
who run up against a devil-worshipping coven." Having read the script - which is really, really good - I can say that's not quite accurate.
First of all, it's two contract killers, not a group. And the story starts as a two man buddy-action comedy before twisting itself into a riff on Race With The Devil. They are quite right, though, in that Wheatley intends to shoot the film with a heavily improvised, very naturalistic fashion. No cast announced as yet.
