I also don't know how to translate the title, because Чужая means Female Stranger as well as Female Alien, Female Foreigner, etc.. So I chose Stranger.
Producer of Chuzhaya (Stranger) is Konstantin Ernst, the most influential media producer in Russia. He was behind of such well-known titles as Night Watch, Day Watch, Turkish Gambit, Admiral, Hipsters (Stilyagi), Irony of Fate 2 with its record box-office, and several notable, popular and sometimes controversial TV-shows and series. He is a king of Russian TV. His movies hit the record of Russian box-office several times. So his name in the trailer promises decent show.
The second producer is Igor Tolstunov, who produced such controversial movies as Everybody Dies But Me (imdb 1227189) and recent tv-series School, that caused such a huge wave of public discussion that even Medvedev and then Putin commented it.
The synopsis:
1990s. Gangster Kiev. Gang of four fighters gets the job to deliver the girl with nickname Stranger from Prague. She is a sister of arrested Babay, whose testimony can harm important people.
It seems like Stranger has everything: violence, criminals, shooting, Gypsies, prositutes, boobs, sex... everything that fans of this genre can dream about. The movie opens in Russian theaters on June 17th, 2010.
