Yes, there are an awful lot more bad zombie films than there are good ones these days and there are arguably just too many of them, period, but we keep paying attention because from time to time somebody produces something truly worthwhile. And it looks as though Ireland's Bing Bailey may be one of those someones. Credited for doing just about everything on the upcoming Portrait of a Zombie - which Bing wrote, directed, edited, and produced produced while Toni Bailey, who I presume is some sort of family relation, handled the art direction - Bing has put enough of a novel spin on the genre to keep it interesting while also pulling off some very impressive zombie effects on his tight budget.
