David Cross and Will Arnett back together again? Is it the second coming of Arrested Development? No, this is something even better ...
If you'll recall, back at the beginning of November I posted something about a comedy pilot titled Campus, a new project from the creators of Green Wing commissioned and aired by the UK's Channel 4 as part of their new Comedy Showcase series. The premise is pretty simple: They green lit a series of promising pilots and rather than making their decisions behind closed doors they showed them to the public and let public feedback determine whether or not the shows get picked up for full series. And this latest from Cross and Arnett is part of the same series.
Titled The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret the show features Arnett as a clueless but aggressive American businessman who has just bought a UK company and decided - for no particular reason - to shift their entire focus into selling energy drinks in London, a task for which he promotes hapless temp Todd Margaret (that'd be Cross) to oversee despite his total lack of experience or qualification. So what you have here is a case of the aggressive foreigner and the hapless foreigner bumbling about in a strange land. And because this was commissioned for UK TV, where the rules are a bit different, they swear a lot. Check a clip below!
