Moreover, the movie will be in 3D partially and it will the first post-soviet Russian movie in 3D. In Soviet times there were 3D (stereoscopic) movies, and there were theaters in major cities, showing 3D movies. So this movie is not first Russian 3D movie, but however the first Russian 3D fantasy. BTW you can notice the typical position for 3D movies - one personage stand in front of the camera, while other deep in the scene, that's used to emphasize dimension.
I expect a boom of 3D movies in Russia. Probably Russia will become the major country for 3D movies, at least in Europe, because there's good reason for it - very high level of internet and dvd piracy. 3D movies are protected against screen copying in theaters, because the quality of screened video is very-very low. Plus Russians like 3D movies, for example, Ace Age 3 earned $45mlns in Russia, that's what Russian movies can only dream about. So more and more Russian future projects are announced in 3D.
But back to the Dark World. The storyline is based on teenagers who awake evil powers, and then some of them get possessed and some fight with them. So expect magic, fantasy and all of this kind.
