Updated with none age verifying trailer
What is this? Why haven't I heard about this before? This looks fucking awesome!
Apparently there has been a film in the making called
Legion about the end of the world where demons and angels wage bloody war over the fate of mankind and the epicenter is a small desert café in the middle of nowhere. I had no idea this film existed until I saw the jaw dropping
red band trailer that was premiered on
myspace today. This looks pretty damn insane.
Here's what
IMDB.com has to say.
After a terrifying biblical apocalypse descends upon the world, a group of strangers stranded in a remote truck stop diner in the Southwest unwittingly become humanity's last line of defense when they discover the diner's young waitress is pregnant with the messiah.
The film stars
Dennis Quaid, who seems to be on a genre rush lately,
Paul Bettany,
Kevin (Wolverine's
Blob)
Durand and
Doug Jones as a demonic ice cream man. It's directed and co-written by
Scott Stewart, an Visual Effects artist who seems to have worked on some of the biggest FX pictures in recent years and is the director of the up coming graphic novel adaption
Priest, also starring
Bettany.
The trailer, which is kind of long, doesn't skip on the red stuff, the potty mouth or the awesomeness that are demons and angels sporting heavy duty firepower and kicking ass. The film premiers on
January 22nd and you have to verify your age before viewing the trailer which is embedded below the break.
