Noboru Iguchi's Machine Girl - the story of a young college aged girl with a machine gun for an arm exacting bloody vengeance on the ninja-yakuza clan who killed her younger brother - has become a cult hit around the globe and while word is that Iguchi will continue to explore this very odd world he's created with his next feature, The Drill Bra Sisters, before getting to that he first shot the just completed short film sequel to the original hit titled Hajirai Machine Girl.
Ami - the lead character of the original - seems to be absent from this one, the attention now shifting to Ami's perky young friend Yoshie, played once again by Noriko Kijima. Like Ami before her, Yoshie too develops a strange attachment to heavy mechanized weaponry though her prosthetic attaches somewhere a little more surprising than on the stump of an arm. Curious? We've got the very first production stills from the film so you can check it out. These are entirely raw shots, what you see is what it looked like on set with no post production effects applied, and we're hoping to get more images or a trailer soon. In the meantime check out the trailers for the original film below the break and hit the link for the images.
