There hasnt been alot to report on for films coming out of Indonesia lately besides Joko Anwars Kala, mainly due to the countries obsession with horror films, and the general consensus is to steer well clear of them. But one film this year that may be worth a look is 3 Hari untuk Selamanya. The film is directed by Riri Riza who previously directed Gie and Eliana Eliana, both enjoyed moderate success on the festival circuit, the film also stars Janji Joni lead Nicholas Saputra. Adin is about to get married and as the extended family gathers for the occasion, her sister Ambar (20-year-old Adiana Wirasti) and their cousin Yusuf (Indonesian heartthrob Nicholas Saputra) are tasked with a job: they must deliver a special dinner cutlery set with symbolic and sentimental value to Jogjakarta in time for Adin's wedding. But as the duo hit the road, the short trip turns into a revelatory journey. The country's unravelling becomes a metaphor for both Ambar and Yusuf's unspoken feelings.
