Twitch, in association with GOMORRAHY.com, is now providing a downloadable clip from Julien Leclercq's Chrysalis. The movie had its world première at Kinepolis Lomme (a.k.a. Kinepolis le Château du Cinéma) in France on June 25th. It's set to be screened at this year's Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in September as part of the festival's Vanguard programme, in what is to be its international (i.e., outside-of-France) première. Gaumont Distribution is scheduled to release it theatrically in France on October 31st. Gaumont S.A. is the international sales agent for it.

The screenplay for Chrysalis was written by Leclercq, Franck Philippon, Nicolas Peufaillit, and Aude Py. The movie stars Albert Dupontel as Lieutenant David Hoffmann, Marie Guillard as Lieutenant Marie Becker, Marthe Keller as Professor Brügen, Mélanie Thierry as Manon (Thierry is also in Cheyenne Carron's Twisted Souls (Écorchés) and Mathieu Kassovitz's Babylon A.D.), Alain Figlarz as Nicolov, Estelle Lefébure as Clara (Lefébure is also in Xavier Gens' Frontier(s) (Frontière(s))), Patrick Bauchau as Professor Minkowski, Francis Renaud as Yuri, and Manon Chevallier as Clémence.

Here's a brief synopsis for Chrysalis from the TIFF press release "Diverse International Titles Heat Up Vanguard And Midnight Madness Programmes With Ten Additional Films": "A lieutenant returns to the line of duty to hunt down a dangerous smuggler behind a series of murders, including his wife's own. The investigation leads him to a state-of-the-art clinic where memories are a precious and highly coveted commodity."
