Thanks again to Paolo for keeping me up to date on what's happening with Italian genre buster Bumba Atomika - afilm we've talked about previously here and here.
The film has seen two new videos posted to their website recently, odd considering that they're not slated to begin shooting until September. Here's what they've got. First, they've posted a brief video from a recent casting session which would not be particularly interesting in and of itself, but it appears that they've cut some pre-production test footage in there as well, including a nice car wreck. The second bit takes a bit more explaining ... as most readers here would be well aware Italy was the world's hot bed of cult film not so long ago but has all but completely fallen off the map in recent days and one of the goals of Bumba Atomika is to revive interest in Italian genre film, both among fans and film makers. So they've put out a call for aspiring film makers to put together ten second mini-promos for Bumba Atomika done in any format provided that they hit on the "Bumba Atomika Universe: Alcohol, Blood, Madness, Music, Violence, Wine, Beer and Go Go Girls." The first of those is now online.
