The official website for Macoto Tezka's Black Kiss (Burakku kisu) is now functional, and there's a downloadable trailer for the movie on that site.
The screenplay for Black Kiss was written by Macoto Tezka (a.k.a. Makoto Tezuka), Haruyo Moriyoshi, and Kôji Tanaka, based on a story by Tezka. As was previously reported here on ScreenAnarchy, the movie's principal cast is as follows: Reika Hashimoto, Kaori Kawamura, Shunsuke Matsuoka, Masanobu Andô, Hijiri Kojima, Seri Iwahori, Angie (Anji), Kikuo Kaneuchi, Ken'ichi Yajima, Ken Mitsuishi, Hideo Sakaki, Gô Rijû, Shinzen Okada, Sawaco (a.k.a. Sawako), Mitsuru Murata, Joe Odagiri (Odagiri Jô), Masao Kusakari, and Eiji Okuda.
Black Kiss was screened at the 17th Tokyo International Film Festival (Dai-17-kai Tôkyô Kokusai Eigasai), under the English title "Synchronicity" and the Japanese title (written in katakana) "Shinkuronishiti". (Thanks to Jasper Sharp of Midnight Eye for bringing this fact to the attention of ScreenAnarchy.) It's scheduled to open at the Q-AX Cinema in Tokyo on January 28th of next year.
