Here's a synopsis for Double Suicide Elegy from this page for the movie on the website of Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival 2005 (Yûbari Kokusai Fantasutikku Eigasai 2005): "Mashiro works for a law firm in Kagurazaka. It takes 2 hours for him to commute one way. Kyoko works at the counter in a real-estate agency in Yurakucho. It takes 2 1/2 hours for her to commute one way. They meet each other in a 'double-suicide room' in Nishi-Shinjuku on a pre-arranged day. They are in love and planning to die together. Kyoko's husband, Tsutomu, has a dream to open a natural restaurant and help local farmers. Mashiro's wife, Asami, does clerical work in the town office. The different characters of these four people somehow maintain a balance, but as Tsutomu speaks out, the balance goes off slowly."
