Here we go with our latest DVD giveaway courtesy of the fine folks at Palm Pictures, this one being for Old Boy director Chan Wook Park's earlier military mystery film JSA.
I'm going to make you work a bit for this one. When we first posted the cover art a good number of fans were loudly unhappy with the cover, saying correctly that the helicopters and explosion shots we completely inappropriate as the only explosions in the film are small and incidental and there are no helicopters at all. So here is my task for you: take that inappropriate DVD cover and make it even moreso. Anything else not in the film that doesn't belong on the cover? Then put it on there! Fuzzy bunnies? Karaoke singing drag queens? My mom? They're all fair game, so get 'em in there! You've got until July 12th - the DVD's release date - to send your entries in to me here.
Read on for the complete rules and regs.
So, what's the catch? Well, there are three, actually.
First, because we'd like to spread the love around a little we're going to institute a 90 day rule. If you have won a contest here at ScreenAnarchy within the past 90 days you are not going to be elegible to enter. Once your 90 days is up, go ahead and fire away until you win yourself something else.
Second, because this is a contest sponsored by a North American DVD company it will be limited to entries from within North America.
And Third, all entries must be sent in from a valid email address with the understanding that you will be added to Palm Pictures' email list. I want to be very clear here that ScreenAnarchy does not give away email addresses without your permission to do so and that Palm will, in turn, guard your contact information with the obsessive zeal of a Methodist preacher chaperoning his nubile teen daughter's junior prom. In other words, you aren't going to get spammed. The only extra email you will receive as a result of entering this contest is an occasional message from Palm detailing future theatrical and DVD releases - maybe some music as well - and, really, when you're dealing with a company with as many stellar titles as Palm this is all information you're going to want to have anyway. You can take a look at Palm's privacy policy here if you need more information.
