There's a downloadable trailer for Ataru Oikawa's Menotte (Menotto) here on the official website for the movie. (Note that in the katakana title on the official website and in the trailer, the 'me' and 'no' kana are handcuffed together. "Menottes" (plural) is French for handcuffs; however, both the official website and the trailer bear the roman script title "menotte" (singular) in addition to the kana one.) Menotte opens at the Theatre Shinjuku in Tokyo on July 23rd. Its principal cast is as follows: Aya Fujimoto, Sachiko Kokubu (she previously starred in Oikawa's Tokyo Psycho (Tôkyô densetsu: ugomeku machi no kyôki)), Noboru Kaneko (he plays Takeshi Hokuto in Yûdai Yamaguchi's Sakigake!! Cromartie High School - The Movie (Sakigake!! Kuromati Kôkô - The Movie)), Teruaki Uotani, Shinnosuke Abe, and Masahiro Kômoto.
Oikawa is perhaps best known as the director of Tomie. He also directed Tomie: Beginning, Tomie: Revenge, Tokyo Psycho (Tôkyô densetsu: ugomeku machi no kyôki), and the upcoming sci-fi movie Einstein Girl (Ainshutain gâru).
