Those Weinstein's, they're wacky. For the heads of a major film studio, ol' Bob and Harv certainly seem to have a hard time making decisions and sticking with 'em. In this case, however, the change of mind looks to be a good thing.
The film in question is Terry Gilliam's Brothers Grimm. The film was originally slated for a late 2004 release and was well into the test screening process when, for no reason that they cared to share, Dimension pushed the release date back a solid year. Not a good sign. Nope. But now it appears that they've come to their senses, realized that they've got a much anticipated film by one of the finest film makers in the world and shifted the release date to July 29, 2005. Terry in the summer, baby! With a slot like that we've got to be looking at a decently wide release, too. Making things even sweeter Gilliam fans should be expecting to see Tideland a few months later ... Huzzah!
