You may have noticed that the site design has changed a little bit around here in the last couple days ... I've been tweaking things down that right hand column to make things a little easier to navigate and to keep our major content from slipping off into the ether quite so quickly. Thus, if you cast your eyes to the right you'll see that we now have links to a permanent review archive; links to our most recent reviews, interviews and contests; and search boxes for our affiliated retailers. I've also pulled down the Google ads that were over there, made the formatting a little more uniform, and killed a couple redundant sections.
About our affiliate links: between those three retailers you should be able to find about 90% of the stuff we're talking about on here. I have a strong aversion - both philosophical and design-wise - to intrusive advertising on web sites and so you'll never see any banner ads, pop ups, or those irritating between-page ads that are turning up everywhere while you're here at ScreenAnarchy. I hate them as a reader so I won't use them as a webmaster. However, we do have bills to pay around here ... it doesn't cost a ton to run the site but there are some significant expenses and I need to try and balance those out somehow. The affiliate links are my compromise way of doing that ... they provide some value to you in giving you easy access to quality goods from around the world while also helping us pay our bills. So, call me a corporate whore if you must but do so while using our links to buy your stuff.
Anyway, I'd love to have some feedback on the design changes and if you've got any suggestions on how to make ScreenAnarchy easier to use I'd love to hear them ...
