First Details From New Sono Sion Pic WHY DON'T YOU PLAY IN HELL?

The first announcement about Sono Sion's next flick, Why Don't You Play in Hell?, has surfaced in Japan. Two things: (1) We are always excited about any new Sono Sion flick. (2)  We do not speak a lick of Japanese, so we enlisted the help of one of our friends with strong ties to the Japanese film industry, who has harnessed the power of the Japanese language, to translate/paraphrase the article for us. And because Google Translate, though quite funny at times, makes our eyes bleed when attempting to translate some languages. 

WHY DON'T YOU PLAY IN HELL? (Jigoku de naze warui?), the latest film from director Sion Sono, is finally set for a September opening! Completely outrageous trailer video also now available to watch! Now, Sono's next film is his most 'won't believe your eyes' action entertainment, WHY DON'T YOU PLAY IN HELL? For this film, Sono has returned to and improved a ten-some year old screenplay he wrote, and that its underlying theme is 'the love for 35mm film'. Actors include Jun Kunimura (first time in a Sono film), plus co-stars Shinichi Tsutsumi, Hiroki Hasegawa, Gen Hoshino, Fumi Nikaido, Tomochika, plus others from the film world as supporting actors who will bring fresh talent to the film, regular Sono partners, and so on, to create a story of radical love. We were also told that one of the final paragraphs just happens to drop that Tak Sakaguchi is also part of the cast; "Oh. By the way. Tak." Sono is writing and directing the film. Distributors are T-Joy and King Records.
