Quiz: which film is next for Dick Maas?

Actually, the film "Quiz" is next for Dick Maas.

While Mr. Maas always has several projects in development, his thriller "Quiz" has now oficially entered the production phase. Tom de Mol is producing, so we have the same team at work which brought us "Sint" last year. While the success of that film had everyone wondering about a possible sequel, apparently Tom and Dick have other plans.

The synopsis is as follows:

A famous gameshow host is being harrassed in a restaurant by a strange man who claims to have kidnapped his wife and daughter. A morbid game ensues in which the gameshow host turns out to be the candidate.

Looking at the poster gives me a strong "Saw" vibe, while the story seems reminiscent of Park Chan-wook's "Cut" segment from "Three: Extreme". Here is hoping that Dick Maas brings an original view to the project, coupled with his trademark splendid use of local scenery.
