Venice Film Festival Will Include Latest from De Palma, Malick, Kim, Korine and More
Right on the heels of the Toronto Film Festival, Venice has just unveiled its lineup. While there's a bit of overlap between the closely-timed events (Notably, the inclusion of Terrence Malick's latest), Venice's list is comprised mostly of new films which, naturally, raise a completely fresh set of questions.

For example, Will Brian De Palma's new erotic thriller, Passion, be anywhere near as insane and triumphant as Femme Fatale? And will it even be as erotic as Harmony Korine and James Franco's "Girls Gone Wild" satire Spring Breakers? Is a remake of The Man Who Laughed really necessary after two Batman movies featuring The Joker? And hey! How the hell did Ulrich Seidl get a sequel to his Cannes competition film Paradise: Love ready in just three months?

And that's just a start! Here's the entire list, which includes 50 world premieres:
