THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS 6 And 7 May Shoot Back To Back. Jason Statham To Join Cast?

Sources tell ScreenAnarchy that Universal Pictures are currently looking in to the possibility of shooting Fast 6 and Fast 7 back to back in Europe throughout 2012 and, furthermore, that they are entering into preliminary conversations with Jason Statham to explore the possibility of the action star joining one or both films.

Statham is far from a sure thing at this point but if ever a star made more sense for this franchise - particularly if they are shifting to a European base of operations - then I am hard pressed to imagine who it might be. 

Director Justin Lin recently exited the director's role for Terminator 5 due to a scheduling conflict. If this back to back talk pans out that would go a very long way to explaining how that conflict arose.
