Park Chan-Wook $130K iPhone Short Film
At 30 minutes, this is rather long to be considered a tel-com commercial, but I wonder if it is in the same vein as the BMW shorts or various Dior Perfume ads with big production budgets.  The difference in this case is that iconic Korean director Park Chan Wook shot the thing on an iPhone.

Mobiledia reports that the film, Paranmanjang, is complete, and has already been screened, and will be screening commercially in a few select South Korean cinemas:

"The 30-minute fantasy-horror short, shot in collaboration with Park's director brother Park Chan-kyong, was shot entirely on the iPhone and concerns a man transcending his current and former lives."

Sounds like a riff on Unclee Boonme who Can Recall his Past Lives, but mercifully shorter.  I hope to see this show up on Vimeo (or Youtube) or screen at a festival, because I have personally shot a fair bit of video on the iPhone and it looks rather ratty and full of artifacts particularly at low lighting (like HD sludge which would likely be unforgiving on any sort of large screen)  Yet, I certainly did not have a full crew, location scouts and all that of a full blown film production or the visual talents of one of Korea's best.
