Bekmambetov Produced FIRST TIME Chronicles The First Space Walk

On March 18, 1965 Russian cosmonaut Alexey Leonov conducted the first spacewalk in human history, exiting the Voskhod 2 capsule for twelve minutes while connected to his craft by a five meter long tether. The resulting shift in pressure caused his suit to inflate to the point where Leonov was initially not able to re-enter the craft - he had to manually release pressure until the suit shrank to the point he could squeeze back through - so there was plenty of drama to the event and now the entire story is being told in Dmitry Kiselyov's feature First Time.

Kiselyov is a key figure in the current wave of Russian genre and scifi films, initially rising to prominence as the editor of Timur Bekmambetov's international hits Night Watch and Day Watch before co-directing flying car adventure Black Lightning (which is quite good, btw) with Bekmambetov producing. Bekmambetov is on board as a producer here as well and the results are looking quite strong. Take a look at the trailer below!
