Indie Martial Arts Crime Drama, BLACK SCAR BLUES, Lands Its First Hard-Hitting New Trailer
When you look at independent martial arts cinema, you're looking at a hot bed full of potential and talent, and Leesburg-based Rising Tiger Films are no exception. Their latest offering, Black Scar Blues, comes after a five-year evolution following their humble beginnings as an online platform shared with other independent filmmakers bearing a similar love for martial arts movies and all things Jackie Chan and Donnie Yen.
Thus, it is Black Scar Blues which has taken Rising Tiger's own Leroy Nguyen and Edmond Shum on the road in the last several years through the film festival circuit and onto fruitful terrain for a possible feature-length release. And with Circus Road Films stepping in on that effort followed by additional production work and other hurdles, Rising Tiger Films is officially well on the way to releasing its premiere feature film for the masses, lending viewers a small scale, albeit thrilling, martial arts-infused crime drama wholly worth its mettle.
SYNOPSIS:
A young hard-fisted hoodlum returns to the town he escaped from in order to try to right the wrongs he’s committed. What ensues is a devastating spiral of violence and betrayal that will consume everyone that he has ever cared about, and those very few who have ever cared about him.
Nguyen makes his directorial debut and leads the cast with Shum - both who serve as action directors on the film. Also starring are Jen Barnard, Daniel Sim, Mahdi Eltigani and Donald Williams. Watch the new trailer below right now, and stay tuned for more info!
