Have Your Say: My Prescient! My Prescient!
Through the technological wonders of the smartphone and Pokemon Go, half of the United States is currently chasing after imaginary creatures, or rather artificial and virtual ones. And I cannot help but wonder how incredibly spot-on Iso Mitsuo's 2007 anime series Dennou Coil was, with its depiction of near-future augmented reality where everyone was chasing things which (corporeally speaking) weren't real.

For a while it seemed our reality would dodge that particular bullet when Google Glasses didn't quite take off as they were intended to, but whoa! Trust Pokemon to plug that gap. If anything, it makes Dennou Coil even more awesome than it already was.

Which brings us to the question of the week: which near-future prediction in a film or series turned out to be almost uncannily true? Something which, in hindsight, makes you go "Damn!"...
