Amirpour, Kim, Gibson, Chazelle, Seidl Among Highlights As Venice Announces Complete Lineup

With the sidebars having already announced their selections and the Toronto International Film Festival having rolled out their first big block of titles earlier this week the Venice International Film Festival got into the act earlier today rolling out the full announcement of all sections of their main selection. And it would appear that attendees are in for a treat.

Included in the selection are new offerings by Kim Ki-duk, Damien Chazelle, Mel Gibson, Ana Lilly Amirpour, Pablo Larrain, Ulrich Seidl and a host of others. Venice can be a bit of an odd beast in many years with the festival on the whole occupying a position of enormous respect despite a lineup that frequently fails to connect with anything but European arthouse audiences but they seem to be striking a bit of a different balance in recent years with a number of eventual Best Picture winners in the lineup and a sharpening eye for emerging as well as already established talent.

Take a look at the complete list below and let us know what's most interesting to you!
