Park Chan-wook's Cannes-Bound THE HANDMAIDEN Gets A Teaser

Just a few hours after it was officially announced for the Cannes Film Festival's main competition, CJ Entertainment has dropped the first teaser for Park Chan-wook's The Handmaiden. Starring Ha Jung-woo, Kim Min-hee and newcomer Kim Tae-ri, the lush period thriller is set during the Japanese occupation of Korea and is based on Sarah Waters' novel Fingersmith.

The Handmaiden is Park's first Korean film since Thirst (2009), and we here at ScreenAnarchy are dying to see it. The film will bow in Cannes next month with a Korean release to follow in June.
