Crowdfund This: 100 BULLETS: DEAD GHOSTS - Web Series Adaptation Of The Award Winning Comic

Comic book series 100 Bullets garnered critical acclaim and Eisner awards during the length of its 100 issue run, making stars of writer/illustrator team Brian Azzarillo and Eduardo Risso.

Published by DC’s adult-oriented Vertigo imprint, the dark and violent noir story questioned the very nature of revenge. The stories contained within the series would often begin with the mysterious Agent Graves providing the victim of a terrible wrong with a handgun, 100 untraceable bullets and the details of the wrongdoer. With the means to exact a violent revenge and get away with it, could you do it?

Hollywood loves a good comic book, so it’s no surprise a movie is already in the works. New Line is developing the project with Tom Hardy on board to produce and possibly star.

Writer/director team The Halsall Brothers have the jump on the studio, having spent the past three years developing 100 Bullets: Dead Ghosts – a non-profit web series based on the comic book series. The brothers found acclaim of their own with debut short film If I Had a Heart, produced by Andy Starke and Ben Wheatley of Rook Films (High Rise, Kill List, Sightseers, Free Fire).

100 Bullets: Dead Ghosts is described as follows:

“Set within the dark, dystopian and desperate confines of North Korea, this heavily researched four-part drama dives deep into the harrowing lives of those trapped within the brutally oppressive 'Hermit Kingdom,' their constant threat of execution and what they are forced to suffer in order to survive.”

Having bankrupted both directors, they need just a little more help to finish off their passion project. This is a really interesting idea from a couple of immensely talented guys. Help them see their dream come to fruition by supporting the IndieGoGo campaign.
