Cameras Roll On Dante Lam's OPERATION MEKONG
Distribution Workshop announced today the start of shooting on Dante Lam's latest action drama. Kicking off in Thailand, Operation Mekong reunites the director once more with Taiwanese leading man Eddie Peng, whom he has previously worked with on box office smash Unbeatable and this summer's cycling drama To The Fore.

Peng will play opposite mainland star Zhang Hanyu, who was seen recently as the lead in Tsui Hark's The Taking of Tiger Mountain, as well as in a key supporting role in Venice closer Mr. Six alongside Feng Xiaogang. Actress Feng Wenjuan also stars.

Operation Mekong tells the story of a merchant vessel operating in the Mekong River Delta that was attacked by bandits in 2011, in a blood bath that left 13 people dead. When investigators on the scene uncovered a huge stash of drugs onboard, the Chinese authorities mounted an investigation to determine exactly what went down.

We can expect to see Operation Mekong sometime towards the end of 2016.
