The Rock To Adapt 80s Video Game RAMPAGE, Because, Why Not!
Deadline is reporting that Dwayne Johnson is getting back together with the team behind the action disaster flick San Andreas to adapt the 80s video game Rampage to the big screen. Because, hell, why not! If The Rock can turn running away from his job and a natural disaster into a Summer hit then what is there that he cannot do?

Big Trou-

Ah! Ah ah ah! NO! Let us just stick with the news at hand, shall we?

If you've never played any incarnation of Rampage the premise is simple. Three giant monsters - a gorilla, a lizard and a wolf - wreak havoc and smash buildings on the screen. In the adaptation it will be up to Johnson to stop them. No running away from danger this time, eh Mr. The Rock?

Johnson will team up again with New Line Cinema and San Andreas producer Beau Flynn. Non-stop writer Ryan Engle has been tasked with giving Johnson his share of screen time and muscle flexing.

Production is expected to start next Summer.

Let it be known that I think that Dwayne Johnson is awesome. I just find the idea of this so wondrously absurd that I cannot help but make fun of it. This will probably be the giant creature film that we've always wanted.
