THALE 2: Who, Or What, Is This New Creature From The Nordic Folklore Sequel?
The other week we reported that the Nordic Genre Boost was providing funding to seven fantastic film projects around the Nordic region of Europe. One of those projects is going to be Thale 2, one of two projects from Norway.

From the Norwegian Film Institute site we stumbled upon what appears to be a bit of conceptual art, possibly part of the pitch materials, that portrays a different creature from the first film.

I'll just come out and say it. I do not get that warm and fuzzy feeling I got from looking at the creature from the first film when I look at this creature. He appears to be playing violin with tendons from his shoulder. Does that make him a Nøkken then? The mythical creature that plays the violin to draw you out on thin ice or a leaky boat, only to pull you under the surface of the water?

Warm and fuzzy feelings aside, we look forward to seeing what returning director Aleksander Nordaas brings in this sequel.
