First Teaser From Miike's YAKUZA APOCALYPSE: THE GREAT WAR OF THE UNDERWORLD
Japanese director Miike Takashi said in a statement when Yakuza Apocalypse: The Great War of the Underworld was announced, "Goodbye to tediously boring Japanese films. No one wanted this to happen, but I am making a rampage back to the basics!", he was not kidding. Yakuza Apocalypse is what, his seventh film in just three years? The man has been on a tear, and an awfully fun one if you ask us. No one even hint at attempting to slow him down.

So here is our first look at footage from Miike Takashi's action fantasy yakuza vampire flick. As is the course with most teasers we are not going to get a lot to look at. But if you are patient enough to wait until the end of the thirty-three seconds you will be rewarded with a shot of someone in a frog suit wielding a katana sword metal bat.

You do not ask why.

You just say, 'Miike'.

Yakuza Apocalypse: The Great War of the Underworld opens in Japan on June 20th.
